What is Pelvic Health Osteopathy?

Pelvic health osteopathy assesses the muscles, joints and connective tissue of the pelvic region. It supports women and men experiencing pelvic floor concerns, altered bladder control and pelvic support, postnatal recovery and pelvic pain. Biofeedback may be used to assess and guide care.

How osteopathy may support you

Support & Stability

Changes in bladder control or pelvic support can be deeply linked to altered mechanics in the pelvis and lower spine. Our approach focuses on assessing structural strains, improving joint mobility, and ensuring your core musculature works in harmony. We provide tailored guidance on posture, breathing mechanics and gentle rehabilitation to support the body's natural stability and reduce structural pressure on the pelvic organs.

Pain Relief

Pelvic pain, including discomfort during intimacy, can sometimes be aggravated by deep muscular tension, restricted hip or sacral mobility, and tight pelvic floor muscles. We work compassionately with patients to identify these mechanical restrictions. Using highly gentle soft tissue release, articulation and myofascial techniques, we aim to alleviate localised physical tension and promote healthier, pain-free structural function in the pelvic region.

Floor Rehabilitation

Pelvic floor dysfunction often involves a complex mix of muscle weakness, hypertonicity (excess tension) and postural imbalances. As osteopaths, we look at the whole picture, assessing how your lower back, pelvis and hips move together. By using gentle manual therapy, stretching and targeted rehabilitation exercises, we work to reduce structural tension, improve local circulation and help restore balanced muscle function to the pelvic floor.

I had such a wonderful experience with Luciane at EVE Clinic. From the moment I arrived, she made me feel completely cared for and understood. She has an incredible level of knowledge and expertise, especially in women’s health and she takes the time to explain things clearly and compassionately. I had been experiencing a severe pain in my lower back, and nothing else I tried had helped. After just one session with Luciane, the pain stopped — it felt like genuine relief for the first time in 40 days. Her approach is gentle, attentive, and highly effective. It’s rare to find a practitioner who combines expertise, empathy, and true care the way she does. I am so grateful to have found her, and I absolutely recommend Luciane and EVE Clinic to anyone seeking thoughtful, specialised support for body and wellbeing.

I can’t recommend Luciane highly enough. She specialises in pelvic floor rehabilitation and has been instrumental in my recovery following childbirth issues. In just two sessions, I noticed a real improvement in strength and stability. At my last visit, I came in with lower back pain and left pain-free - I was genuinely blown away! She is incredibly knowledgeable, personable, and refreshingly down to earth in her approach. A true expert who puts you at ease and delivers results.
